YACHT ISABELA II Experience
At the beginning of our expedition, all the guides and myself were waiting at the airport for the next group of guests that was soon going to arrive. We took the guests for lunch and then went to visit a farm for our first encounter with the giant Galapagos tortoises.
Our morning of the second day started with the observation of sea turtles, penguins, sea lions, marine iguanas, pelicans, frigates, blue-footed boobies and with a visit to one of the iconic sites in the archipelago: Post Office Bay. After this visit we swam with baby sea lions at Champion islet and enjoyed all sort of activities: kayaking, snorkelling, walking and taking amazing photos!
On the third day we arrived to one of the iconic islands: Española Island. Here we had the chance to see blue-footed boobies, Nazca boobies and the astonishing Galapagos Albatross. Watching the Albatross courtship was one of a kind experience! In the afternoon, we had the chance to swim with baby sea lions at Gardner Bay in and walk in one of the most beautiful beaches in South America.
On the next day we saw red-footed boobies and more blue-footed boobies nesting in Punta Pitt, San Cristobal Island.
We were able to enjoy a wonderful journey in the enchanted islands and not only be able to observe wildlife, but also feel how special the islands are in every step we took. It was an unforgettable itinerary!
